The forgotten birthday party
Finally we had her friend birthday party...we are only 7 months behind.
A summer birthday within days of a major holiday makes party planning a challenge, she agreed it might be best to wait for school to start in the fall to have her party, and then mom completely forgot about it.
She asked when we were going to have her party towards the end of November and it seems that time is an equally challenging time since not a weekend was open....finally mid January we set a date, booked the pool and planned her forgotten birthday party. " today was the best birthday party" she said on our way home today! She is beyond patient and so forgiving of her mom, and I agree celebrating 10 and 7 months was pretty fun.

In mason city. We headed out the door as soon as rosie returned from her basketball tournement and headed to Iowa. Ready to watch Beckie skate with the MAD girls

Tournaments come with a lot of built in down time some fill this time taking selfies others practice their shoe tying skills and always there are visits to the concession stand

Hotel stay
We stayed overnight in minneapolis. Pedro had an appointment at the University early Monday morning so we came up for the play Sunday afternoon and then headed to the hotel. We were in downtown Minneapolis so the kids enjoyed checking out the tall buildings and of course swimming.

Bear Snores On
At Stages theater...we love attending plays at this theater. This is a favorite picture book of ours it was fun to see it brought to life on stage.
