The girls spent the day in Mankato with my sister. They spent some time at Minneopa, the pictures reflect how much fun they had.

Gardening

                       

 

A few more spaces being planted and a couple being replanted.  Our first round of plants in the buckets didn't survive so we tried one more round.  Looking forward to a summer of harvesting fresh veggies grown in our backyard.

The yellow fence was a gift from my sister and adds the perfect splash of color in our backyard space.

Memorial Day

                     

 

Memorial weekend included a stop at the local veterans memorial. The kids enjoyingbsearching for the pavers with names we know.

No pets!

                    

 

We've been a no pet house for quite some time now.  The kids have asked and I've simple said No, pets.  Recently Rosie has been asking for a Husky, a husky! I shudder to think of the work that woukd entail.  So the oyher day while shopping at Wal-Mart one asked if they could look atbthe fish and then another said I wish we had a fish. Which led to the request for a pet.  This time I surprised all of us with a yes.  So there they stood looking at the goldfish tank tryi ng to decide which fish to choose.  Their excitement was contagious and the grins were epic. Meet Hero, Captain Hook, and Goldie the newest members of our family.
