Railroad Days

An annual celebration held in our town.  Things were bit different this year. Road construction had the parade rerouted but the kids were still able to find familiar and new things to experience.

Helicopter ride

Helicopter rides were being offered during railroad days.  The kids and their Dad took a ride, they had a great time! They enjoyed a bird's eye view of many familiar places in town and even got to fly over the house where I was abkento snap a photo of them.

12

12 years
From the moment I met you I knew it was going to be an adventure..... 2 days new with the biggest brown eyes filled with curious wonder.  You were the answer to the prayer held in my heart for years of just one more baby...for a dozen years you have shown me how to experience the most in life, to live in the moment, to bend the rules, and notice the simple, the ordinary.  You define life with your strength, wonder and endless curiosity.  Happy Birthday Rosie!

4th of July fun

Donuts

Dunkin Donuts opened in Mankato recently.  We made a stop the other day, that box generated a lot of smiles that day.

Rail run

First Railrun for these two.

Pow wow parade

I grew up attending Powwow activities in My. Lake. My Dad grew up there, it's always fun to share this witgvmy kids, even more special when my dad joins us.

A sisters love

"I left a surprise for Yahaira, she will find it when she goes to sleep tonight."  And my mom heart smiled and I said "that was so kind of you." And she giggled and bounced on her way.
I should have checked into just what that surprise was since clearly the youngest in the house has a rather large streak of mischief in her.  That evening yahaira came stomping down the stairs with this picture in her hand, not please in the least that this was what her eyes landed on as she settled into bed.... a clown.
Did I mention her huge dislike of all things clowns. Epic, trauma inducing dislike.
The youngest still breathes, barely.

Fishing

A day spent fishing with her Dad.
She didn't catch a fish, but still had a lot of stories to share.  The fish must have been napping she reasoned as her lack of catching any.

Ponies

This girl loves playing with these little ponies.  So did her older sisters....some things just stay timeless.

Softball season

Summer equals softball season in our home.   3 kids playing three different nights.  We spend a lot of time in small out of the way towns at ball fields tucked into corn fields.
