Homecoming parade
this afternoon we walked up to the parade route to take in
the annual Homecoming parade...I wondered how it would go since
the start time was when most of these little wonders are usually napping
The kids seemed quite excited by this little excursion and completely enjoyed
the mini parade...of course the candy was a total hit
it was perfect weather for a fall parade...clear skies, mild temps and no wind.
Harvesting the grapes

after weeks of watching and testing and watching some more
last week we picked those grapes that have been growing all summer long.
(these have got to be the most watched and anticipated grapes ever)
we started with one large bowl, I know silly me to underestimate since you can see
we filled 4 large bowls when all was said and done
Reyna just sat right down next to those bowls and ate grapes in her pj's
as I scaled the ladder to reach those grapes on top of the arbor Rosie and john waited below with
bowls soon I heard giggles and tuned into their conversation apparently as I picked from above a random grape would
drop and plunk on their head, the most giggles happened when one landed in Rosie's bowl
thus began their game of trying to catch the falling grapes
thinking some jelly is in our future, unless of course we eat our way through all those grapes.
prairie
a large area of the musuem was devoted to an outdoor prairie
we walked along paths enjoy the late summer flowers still in bloom..
we hiked to the river's edge, which felt like hundreds of miles
linda assured me it was not, I think she might have lied
Rosie ran along the paths, discovering bugs, and plants
she loves this outdoors stuff...a lot.
Treaty site history center
just a few more photos from the museum in St. Peter that we visited earlier this month.
Every time we drive past this museum we comment "we should stop" Finally we did
where we spent several hours exploring inside the museum and outside, joined by linda and Jay
The kids loved the hands on feel of the museum....
