Honor band

Today Anthony spent the day at a neighboring school participating in a band contest tonight he performed with students from several local schools as part of the junior high honor band.  He said it was fun to perform with other trombone players. He is the only one in 6th grade band  it was a very entertaining concert

new library card

 thursday night we headed to the library...she had been asking for days to go to the library.

 she quickly picked out some books and then moved onto exploring the children's area and of course the computer

 we also applied for her library card...she was quite serious as she wrote on her new card

once she figured out that she now had a card and could pick out books at the library and use her card she wanted to go back every day!

birthday celebration

 rather than a party she decided to take a friend to mankato and get their nails done...this morning we headed to Nails by Jordan where they both had their nails done.  It was Kasandra's first time going to a salon for her nails...she was surprised by the process involved in "getting your nails done"

friday night we filled easter eggs for the daycare easter egg hunt on sunday.  this crew was pretty excited about helping out and in minimal time we had the task completed.

adoption news

Thursday we signed the final packet of documents for pedro's adoption.  This is the big step we have been waiting for,  now we wait for approval from DHS and then a day in court.  We are inching our way to finalizing this adoption.

with this endless winter, that now intrudes into spring...last saturday after yet another day cooped up inside we headed to super 8 to use their pool.  I've had these pool passes for a long time and finally decided it was time to use them.  We spent several hours swimming and came home with some pretty tired kids.
