Entrance conferences
She is ready.
I am ready to settle back into our school routine.
Last year she did an all day program for kindergarten, which she loved so did we. But it was a smaller setting and this year she is in the "big" school as she calls it where class size will be larger and rhe routines will be far different. She is ready to go! We met her teacher Yahaira and Josh both had Mrs Romsdahl too. It was hard for a reyna to picture Josh as a kindergartner. She explored her room and I filled out paperwork as we checked out her locker before we left she noticed Evans name a few lockers down "good" she said "he is close" even when you're ready it doesn't hurt to know that something familiar is nearby.

Discovering mannequins
She couldn't figure out the mannequins, for the longest time she stared...."where are their heads?" "These don't have any" a big sister answered. Bloc party
Thursday night was the annual bloc patty held at the park. It's hosted by the police department but volunteers from many community organizations help put it together.
We muched on burgers and chips listened to guitar students. Explored a firetruck and police car, and a pontoon ride....but for my girls the highlight of the night.....getting to wear handcuffs. Seriously it made their night.
