painting a masterpiece

found the canvases at Joann Fabrics
add paint and paintbrushes and it is amazing what kids will create...
this was a huge hit...honestly I think for this age group anything with paint is a huge hit.

what is an art themed birthday without painting....

I found two flat white sheets...my plan was to have rosie and her birthday guests paint them
once dried I intend to hang them from the clothesline in a tent fashion, thus creating shade for
those hot sunny summer afternoons...a place for the older daycare kids to hang out, outdoors but
protected from that hot sun...

loved listening to them as they painted,
watching as they created art that was beyond anything I could have created...
I love how these turned out and can't wait to hear the excitement when the
daycare kids use them...

her golden birthday

on saturday she turned 7 on the 7th
her golden birthday!
we joined cassandra and beckie at applebees where the staff sang happy birthday to her
she looked terrified
in honor of her golden birthday I decided to do a gift a day for 7 days
and keeping with that 7 theme each gift would contain 7 items
(more on that in a later post)
the flowers above are from the Piercy's it made her day!

on wednesday we celebrated with the daycare kids with a pinata

she is spunky and strong
determined and funny
she has a heart of gold, which is easily hurt
she is my rosie

Duluth Grill

I discovered this place online while searching for restraunts that had been featured on
Diners, Drive In's and Dives this  place sounded quite intriguing
organic, local grown, sustainable were all words I loved reading
we stopped on Friday and oh my my only regret is that we didn't go sooner in the week
we would have definately made a return trip or two.
the food was amazing, loved their childrens menu and their
refusal to serve a tan meal to little people.
below is the fruit served with reynas meal, all organic and tasted amazing
