in the event of severe weather.
Here is Rosie modeling her tornado gear last night.
mud boots...for potential flooding check
hard hat.....for falling debris check
attitude double check
We were in storm watches for most of the late afternoon. Around 5:30 things started to get interesting as watches were switched to warnings in towns and counties just west of us. Around 7 a tornado warning was issued for our county, I decided to wait for the sirens before I headed to basement with the little ones, no need to scare them I figured. Cassandra and Beckie were both working, Josh had just made a run to the store and I had the three little ones in the toy room . I was just finishing the dishes when the siren started as I turned I noticed a zip fly by which was Anthony heading to the basement, followed closely by another zipping child, that would be Yahaira, as I realized that the third zip was missing I moved toward the toy room only to be frozen momentarily by the scream that was not coming from that very room. It was quite the moment as the sirens wailed outside and Rosie wailed inside. I picked her up which stopped her noise immediately and headed to the basement. Where my three little people proceeded to play loving the allure of all those stored away toys. Soon the phone rang, Cassandra who was done with work and now worried that Josh was on his way to get her...which he wasn't since he was coming down the stairs, with a soda for me. Caffeine can make almost anything tolerable :). Linda and family joined us soon after. The sirens stopped and then started numerous times in the course of an hour or so. All in all it was a pretty interesting storm system.
