the best part?

sorting thru the candy of course. So much to sort thru, so many choices, and bummer mom has this annoying rule of only being able to eat one piece. No I wasn't too popular tonight, what can I say?

they are now finally in bed, except for one....you know which one. She is a rebel, our Rosie is.

carving pumpkins....

Ok, so nothing like leaving it to the last moment, and yes one is missing from the above picture. Yahaira fell asleep at 6:30 and there was no waking her to partake in the activities. Rosie thought it was great fun to dig inside the pumpkin no fear in her. Anthony and Alonso were hesitant until I brought out the spoons. Moses watched from his high chair since currently everything and I mean everything goes into his mouth, not sure how healthy raw pumpkin is. Oh, and as I gathered them all together for a final picture I tuned into the music playing in the background, something Halloween appropriate you may think. alas no, it was Christmas music.....I had been working on a Christmas project and to keep myself in the right state of mind I had popped in a Christmas CD...and so we carved pumpkins by Christmas carol's.

more fall pictures.

I thought I had missed the photo op for the kids playing in the leaves, since most of the trees in our neighborhood had long since lost all their leaves. Yesterday as I drove home from church I noticed my neighbors maple tree had piles of leaves under it. So off we went to capture some pictures. Later in the day all the leaves had blown away, so glad I took that route home yesterday. Here is Rosie playing in the leaves. She brought an armful home with her.

Halloween party part 2

a few more pictures from the party.

Halloween party...

Today we were invited to a Halloween party. The kids had a blast! Anthony is pinning a wart on the witches nose, Yahaira is ringing a pumpkin and Rosie is checking out what is inside that box before she stuck her hand in there. I was a bit apprehensive since the party fell during nap time, but amazingly they all did very well. More pictures to follow.

scrambled eggs?

Beckie these are the pictures that go with the audio you heard last night. (Beckie was fortunate to be on the phone when we discovered the little wonder's latest activity. ) Sigh, there isn't much to say, the pictures pretty much sum it up.

and Rosie....

who is wearing nothing close to fall colors, but simply wanted her picture taken too.
I mean if I'm going to take Yahaira's I certainly better take Rosies, it's all about fair and balanced.
and for those of you wondering where Anthony might be, he's a boy...he would rather be tortured than have his picture taken.

fall colors...

ok so the leaves looked great....last week (and naturally I missed the photo op :)
so I give you Yahaira wearing these lovely fall colors...really she looks cuter than a bunch of leaves.

Dance shoes....

Yahaira is in dance classes. She began this fall and simply loves everything about them! The teacher, the dance clothes, and of course the shoes! Love how those little toes look, love the noise she makes as she taps across the floor. Love watching her excitement as I drop her off at class each week. Love this kid!

Apparently...

my organized, storage method for canned goods is not acceptable to Rosie. This is how it looked after she worked her magic on it this afternoon. Did I mention organized, emphasis on organized! Sigh, it would appear that organized is not in Rosie's vocabulary.and while I was cleaning the above mentioned magic this is where the little wonder traveled to next. Notice it is a sink, full of water. also if you look close you will notice there is no drain stop in that sink (I removed that months ago since said little darling would close it and proceed to flood the bathroom, why? she's two there is no reason why.) So how is the water staying in the sink? magic? No, it would simply be the force that is a two year olds mind, and the fact that she shoved paper towels down the drain to keep the water in the sink. It took me 10 minutes with a tweezers and kitchen tongs to remove all those towels. (I'm going to say I got them all, sometimes being ignorant is a good thing, and I really don't want to think about the fact that there are most likely more between the floor and the basement just waiting to blow up my pipes. Like I said sometimes it's just easier to be clueless) Notice the dripping hair.....I guess she needed to wash her hair at 3pm in the afternoon. Since that is what she informed me when I entered the bathroom "Me wash my hair"
Sigh.
