Turkey

a second grade tradition...
where we start with the outline and then using whatever strikes your creative fancy we decorate...
by now we have done several of these turkeys...we should know what we are doing
we don't.
Yahaira's decorating choice....marshmallows
and so with glue in hand we started creating...there was a lot of help in the nibbling department
Yahaira claimed it a success when it was finally completed...

Poppe's Pumpkin Patch

Reyna's first visit to the pumpkin patch
she was completely wowed!
Last sunday we headed out to finally visit the pumpkin patch...
the kids roamed from one activity to another...
storybook land, corn maze, train ride, pumpkin patch, animals
ahhhh rosie loved the whole enviroment...
we searched for a pumpkin or two finding that there were so very few to select from
a great day....filled with excited voices saying "mom come see this!!"

a day

spent outside, exploring the wonders of the pumpkin patch...
where the temps were mild and the sun was shining

corn maze

where we roamed and turned and walked and paused to check out corn and bugs
where thankfully we didn't need to call 911 to rescue us
( a reference of course to a national news story about a couple who did become lost in a corn maze)

Storybook land

she had quite the conversation ending with "ok, bye"
I wonder if she realized they weren't real.

the home I think I should live in at times....

picture taken to the words of they rhyme being said by all three
love it!

Pumpkin Patch

arriving at the end of the month, combined with little rainfall
made the pumpkin picking quite slim
Rosie loved wandering the field of pumpkins, this child should live on a farm it is where her heart is.
Reyna tested the rule that you could have it if you could carry it.
We did come away with a couple of pumpkins...

train ride

Mankato Marathon

She ran the half marathon
her second this year
she improved her time by 5 minutes from the first marathon last spring
she amazes me by her strength, determination and confidence
