When the house woke this morning it came with the reminder that today we
officially have another teenager! With her trademark grin and an air
of superiority she reminded her youngest siblings that someday they
would be teenagers, but not for a long, long time. "She doesn't look
any different than she did last night" the youngest said. "She has more
attitude" said her brother" "Well I don't see why being a teenager is
so special" she responded. "I imagine she will remind us every day" he wisely replied.
I'm quite certain she will fill each day with her definition of what a teenager is...with that quick smile, and bubbly energy, the large dose of sass and mountain of attitude and always the simple understanding of how each day is a gift. They don't realize it now, but they're both pretty lucky to experience life with this newly official teenager as a roll model.
