re-organizing

last weekend I decided to re-organize my daycare material
with  little bits in one room, and a little more in another, and a lot more in the basement it just felt that I wasn't utilizing all those supplies very well.  Thus the brilliant idea to re-organize and put them together....what followed was chaos, days worth of chaos
( I don't do chaos well.)
now all those materials are in one place which makes my brain so very happy
(I suppose one could say it was worth the chaos...maybe)

new bookshelves and a massive re-ordering now has books that go together....well actually together
novel idea is it not?

bins hold more supplies, keeping everything together and tidy
oh yes my brain is singing over that...

and now the room is completed...
and no there wouldn't be any before pictures...I tend to decide to do something and in a blink it is pulled apart leaving little to no time to snap photos...

it was quite by accident that the box actually had the right number of compartments to match the rainbow...and thank you linette for helping me fill in some of those color pieces.

Busy bags...

I have spent the past few nights working on some new busy bags for the daycare
and what is a busy bag you might ask?  A simple game or activity that fits inside a ziploc bag

take the eggs apart and the kids match the number to the dots
 a color sorting activity
a number activity...

abc eggs...
match upper and lower case letters

color magnets
who doesn't love to play with magnets?

a measuring activity

when she plays...

she becomes so absorbed in what she is doing

love when I can capture that imagination that is this three year old

March 14th...and 40 degree temps

had us heading outside for that first taste of spring...

and even tho the playground is snow covered, and icy, the driveway was clear and the perfect place to run and draw and soak up the sunshine

Two weeks in a row...

found us at the Target Center...
once for the ice show

and a week earlier for a Timberwolves game, where Anthony played with his 5th grade team before the game.
