the view...
out my window this morning.....
white covers the ground, usually a normal site this time of the year, but this year, it is a bit foreign to the eyes.
it looks like the birds were busy searching for food around the feeders...love seeing all the tracks and paths they create.
monthly scrapbook kits
I decided to try this out again. It has been awhile since I received and used a monthly club for scrapbooking. I have done Club Scrap in the past, but the Scraproom and the Little Red Scrapbook Company are new to me. What's not to love about receiving a box of scrapping supplies in the mail each month? I love the assortment and styles. I love the challenge of creating with sometimes way different materials than I would typically choose. Can't wait to start working with these kits...sometimes it just booosts your creativity when you have something new and fun to work with.
freeze your caboose off run
an annual run held here in town each winter. it is about a 4 mile run around the lake. The temp this year hovered near 30. This was Gracie and Anthony's 2 year, Cassandra has ran it 3 times. Great job, I admire that determination.
baking
with a bit of a Valentine theme on Sunday. Cupcakes, cookies and chocolate covered oreo's...kept my girls busy for much of the afternoon.
my feet sang
when I tried these shoes on...oh my stars not only are they comfortable, but toasty warm too. They are Acorn brand shoes, the box says they are heaven on earth. Thinking they might be onto something here. These have got to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever had on my feet...
cassandra was home
for a few hours on saturday...love when those older kids pop in for a visit. Those little people love it too.
garage sale....
garage sales at this time of the year are almost non existent...but a scrapbook store I love to shop at held one this past weekend. My grand total was $21.47 of which $10 went towards that drawer full of stamps. So for just a bit over ten dollars I found a lot of scrapping wonderfulness...ribbons, and embellishments, diecuts, and storage containers.
10$
a garage sale find..... both boxes for $10, one of those wheels alone retails for $6.50. I love when I find an awesome bargain!
100 days
Rosie celebrated the 100th day of school last week. I found myself thinking really 100 days already? this school year has flown by.

new scrapping storage
I noticed this drawer hutch at Hobby Lobby a few months ago, and instantly loved it. I could just picutre using it to store scrapbooking supplies...then I noticed the price and sighed and walked away. Somehow I couldn't love it that much for the price on the sticker (I am rather cheap like that) On Monday I stopped at Hobby Lobby to pick up some supplies for Anthony's derby car and of course walked by the furniture section just to drool one more time. This time it was on sale 30% off, ummmm I pondered purchasing it, but I was in a hurry so I didn't buy it. Last night I was telling kevin about it and that it was on sale and that maybe I should have bought it. He wondered why i hadn't bought it, I think perhaps he was tired of my endless discussion on whether or not to buy this. So this morning when Josh stopped and mentioned he was going to mankato Kevin decided to go with him. They stopped at Hobby Lobby to pick up the drawer set for me. Kevin called from the store and asked if I had noticed that it was cracked along the bottom, but he thought that my dad would be able to fix it and then mentioned that the store manager was willing to sell it for 1/2 price! sweet sweet music to my ears.
when they got it home I quickly checked out the damage and finally had to ask where is it damaged? They pointed out a corner where the wood was cracked but when we tipped it to check out the bottom all looked good. The entire piece is done in a distressed looked and actually the cracked corner fits right in. I'm happy since it doesn't affect the structure of the piece and bonus I got it for 1/2 price.
I spent the afternoon sorting and filling those drawers, love how organized it is, love how finally everything is now together by color. Oh the organzied brain of mine is singing right now. The final touch, tags for the drawers.
