She woke me a little after 5 this morning. "Is it my for real birthday?" She whispered. I nodded... speaking escaped me at that crazy hour. "Remember you said I could open one present when I woke" I recalled saying something along those lines but had not calculated this before the sun rose wakeup call. "Just stay right here" she said excitedly "I'll go get a present" No worries small child my body is going to need a lot more time to wake let alone move. In the dark wee hours of the morning she spilled laughter and excitement into the day as she opened her present. Much as she has in the 7 years we have shared her journey. She greets each day with excitement and wonder, with laughter and energy. She is fierce and determined. So thankful I get to share her life Happy Birthday Reyna!
