with the weather now colder it seemed like the perfect time to try this project with the girls.
Sunday afternoon we made blankets. Rosie was quite excited about this project and helped in the most creative of ways.
I'm not sure I've quite recovered from the experience just yet. Think three year old with a scissors. When the blanket was tied, and retied, she seems to be in a deconstruct mode these days, of course if you asked her she would certainly believe she was helping. She had to take it with when she went to mankato later Sunday afternoon, and has slept with it every night since creating it...seeing her face as it came together, was priceless...hearing her tell others "I made this" made it all worth it.
Yahaira wasn't as excited about the creating process, but she is loving the finished product. Her wrapped in her blanket is a very common picture these days.
Anthony does have a blanket, it's just not completed yet, two in one day was perhaps the limit of my skills (patience) for one weekend. Also finding a block of time when the little guy isn't busy has become a bit challenging now that he is older and of course busier.
