Yellowstone
and our first crossing of the Continental Divide
(we crossed it three times while in the park alone)
Yahaira did not like the buffalo, she was still recovering from her first glimpse of a buffalo on the first night of our trip,
it was hanging on the wall of the hotel, needless to say she didn't get why that was considered decor) Today we travelled through Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho

so worth the wait
Midway Geyser Basin
the air had turned chilly, a storm front was moving in,
and yet the closer we got to the springs the hotter it become, almost unbearable to breathe in places
the kids didn't like the smell, think rotten eggs...
and keeping that 4 year old on the path proved most challenging, she was fascinated by the bubbling mud and the steaming water.
