This moment...
She has been waiting (im)patiently for this day to arrive. Today was the day of the Pretty Princess Ball! The one princess she couldn't wait to meet was the Little Mermaid! Her favorite princess of all the princesses she has grown up reading about and watching in movies. She watched while we waited in line for her turn, standing close to me a little shy and uncertain but with the very first smile sent her way my little girl was swept up in the excitement and wonder of meeting Princess Ariel for the very first time! After a photo (or two) and a good bye hug she floated beside me and whispered "she liked my shoes mom!"
That's my 6 year old I know and love, discussing shoes with her favorite princess.
