rhubarb

Many years ago I planted rhubarb in my neighbor Dennis' garden. He completely agreed with the arrangement especially the part where I promised to bake him cake or crisp each year. When Dennis moved to the nursing home a few years ago, my rhubarb continued to grow, the first year I still picked it, since the home was vacant...but that changed last year. Someone new bought the home and now they own my rhubarb :( Since I don't know them too well I felt rather ridiculous in knocking on their door to ask if I could pick the rhubarb. A couple of weeks ago Linda called telling me she had found rhubarb plants and purchased two for me...perhaps she got tired of listening to me whine about "my rhubarb" Here is Rosie helping her dad plant the rhubarb. Now the wait begins until next spring when it will be ready to be picked.
