Christmas book

Saw this on Facebook recently and loved discovering a tradition so similar to one we do every Christmas

The 1st book...my favorite picture book

Nursery rhymes. .because they are timeless

The movie came out in 2009 it seemed like the
Perfect tie-in

Another favorite story of mine

I loved this story as a child

A favorite of the older kids now shared with the younger ones

Beckie saw this book and suggested
I use it for the book that year. Proceeds from the book went towards a family whose young child had cancer.

I love Mercer Mayer books, this one is my favorite.

Reyna's favorite book joins the list this year.
In 2007 I started a new tradition with the younger kids in our family. Their older three siblings had received an ornament each year and when they joined our family so did they. When we knew they would be joining our family permanently I had wanted a tradition that was unique to them thus the book each Christmas tradition was born.  The books are picture books, some our my favorites others hold a special meaning to the kids or an event from that year.  I picture someday when they have their own children they will have this mini library of childhood favorites to share perhaps creating their own traditions.
