Star From Afar

I wasn't looking to add one more thing into our Christmas season. We have an elf which keeps us busy (remembering to move him each night proves challenging at times, I've forgotten once already this year he arrived on friday) But, then I read about the Star From Afar book and activity and it made me forgot all the reasons one more daily activity would be crazy to add into our very full days. So I ordered it and today when it arrived the kids helped me unpack the box and listened to the story twice, they set up up the nativity set and placed the three wise men in another location as suggested in the story. The star has been placed somewhere in the house and tomorrow when the kids find it they will move the wise men to the stars location. Each day leading up to Christmas eve will follow the same pattern with the star moving around the house and the Wisemen following. On Christmas eve the star will be placed on the stable. and the next morning the Wisemen will arrive at the nativity and find baby Jesus. There is a bible verse for each day of the month included in the book. I love that this activity focuses on the Christmas story....
