ER

the tv show, not the location connected to a hospital. I was surfing thru the channels late last night, trying to convince myself to go to sleep, and saw that ER was on TNT. It has been a long while (years) since I actually watched an episode of ER. I had been hooked when it premiered 13 years ago, faithfully watching weekly. I continued to watch thru the first 2-3 years and then life happened. So last night I sabotaged my plan to sleep by putting the show on, thinking it would be great to revisit a show I had once watched so often. In the first minute I was completely lost, 15 minutes in I was convinced there was another show out there with the same name. Finally 25 minutes in Dr. Weaver made an appearance and I realized this was ER, but what on earth had happened to all those characters I remembered. I spent the reminder of the show trying to figure out who was who, and never quite accomplishing that. It would take me a year of DVD viewing to even begin to catch up...sigh, not going to happen. I did check NBC.com this morning just to see the shows website, they have a wonderful link called "where are they now" naturally I checked it out and discovered most of those original characters left the show a long while ago.... So much for going to sleep early, instead I stretched and exercised those brain cells trying to play catch up with a tv show I once loved.
