food

of the felt variety.
Discovered this wonderful product while browsing thru Etsy, one night when sleep alluded me. (translation, Rosie wouldn't go to bed and to keep my brain somewhat occupied I was browsing/shopping) So a few items made their way into my cart, with the urge to place many more quite strong. Then I discovered a wonderful thing called patterns, where as you can make your own felt food masterpieces.
(say that three times real fast, go ahead I bet it makes you laugh) Ok so I know my limits and certainly knew that under no circumstance would I be sewing said creations, so I emailed Kelly. Fully prepared to whine, beg, cry or any combination of the three to convince her to do this for me. Her reply? sure send me the patterns.
"What???" "are you sure" I wondered. "you realize what this entails? right?" To which she replied "yes, it will be a fun thing for Kim and I to do" Well who am I to get in the way of mother- daughter bonding time? So I happily purchased the patterns and sent them on their way to Kelly. There will be a sack lunch, a campfire meal, a toaster with toaster pastries (I know how cool is that???) an easter basket with chocolate bunnies (currently the one she is working on, and even when she calls me at 10:30 at night I try to not complain about being wakened and instead infuse enthusiasm in my voice and thank her time and time again) a happy meal, and cupcakes...and many many more, expect pictures as she finishes them :)
so above are the few items I purchased already made...that little baking set is way too cute..thinking they may have to share with their mom when it comes time to play with this one (just think, all the fun of baking with none of the cleanup..I'm so loving felt food) and to keep it balanced that is a salad, made out of felt..how stinkin' cute is that. and finally those are eggs, since every kitchen needs an egg or two. :) Just a note, the cost of those three little items was more than double the cost of all the patterns I sent to Kelly, do you see why knowing someone who is crafty is such a blessing????
