a new shower curtain...it quite simply jumped off the shelf at Target last night. I couldn't resist the polka dots and fun colors. Naturally I purchased it and new matching towels and rugs. (it has to match right?) Naturally Kevin didn't share my enthusiasm when I showed him the new shower curtain...as I hung it last night, he asked in a rather worried voice "what else are we changing?" "why nothing" I said and I really believed that until I looked at the bathroom this morning... I should give a little history here, to better explain the title of this post, the last time I purchased a new shower curtain, because it simply jumped off the shelf at me :) we ended up painting the bathroom, color matching is quite a cool concept, once that was complete it seemed obvious that the lights needed to go, that hanging chain linked light fixture just screamed 70's yes it was gold. and then the next natural step was to replace the tub and toilet, it was needed both were beyond retirement, and finally (simply because there was nothing left to replace) the floor had to be overhauled. Since that remodel venture anytime I have decided to change the decor in our home I am always asked what else is going to be changed... honestly I just don't understand we have only replaced one tub. Change is good...right?
so here are a few pics of my bathroom, I don't know but those white walls are kinda screaming color don't you think...maybe some orange and pink? and something needs to be done with the green shelf perhaps some color is needed there also? (can one spray paint metal?) and you can't quite see in the pictures the floor but it is beginning to show it's age...so perhaps it's time to change it out? Ok, so maybe there is some valid point to his irrational fear each time I decide to change the decor...but I'm fairly confidant to say that the tub and lights are safe...this time around.
