a few of the books that I have been peeking into when life gives me a moment or two....
I found this one while searching for picture books about adoption. A rather perfect name all things considering. Of course when I went to order it, the book was on back order. After a lengthy search and the discovery that it was currently out of print at most locations I added my name to a list on Amazon.com, thinking that this books was just not going to be in our library. Many months later I received a shipping notice, we were beyond excited when it arrived. Rosie is loving the story about a puppy who is adopted by a family who doesn't look like her. I just love the message and how perfect is it that there is a Rosie in the story? Here is the link if you too would like to peek inside:

This one I found while browsing the adoption section at Barnes and Noble. It contains just simple sentences to the statement: I chose you... After just a glance inside it was added to my purchases and I have enjoyed reading thru it time and time again. A few of my favorite's so far:
I chose you...
...because you needed a family, and mine needed you.
...because I felt your heart beat when I first held you.
...to teach me new traditions
...to complete my family.
...to keep me young at heart.
here is the link if this one sparks your curiosity:
This one I have yet to read...it's on the way courtesy of the USPS. I'm fairly confident I will love it..it's about Stephanie Plum after all, and with Ranger and Lula and a whole host of other characters I'm certain it will be a fun read.
If you haven't read Janet Evanovich's Stephanie plum series, I suggest you start...be prepared to laugh. a lot!
and this one? we discovered last winter, when snowmen were all we could read about. It has continued to be a favorite, no matter the season, yes we were reading about snowmen in July. Rosie loves this story and I can only wonder what her little imagination comes up with as we read the story. I love the simple story and beautiful pictures...this is one of those books that reading again and again is simply a joy.
and yes there is a link, just in case you want to enjoy too:
